飼養幼龜水深以不超過10公分為原則 <img src="data/attachment/forum/dvbbs/2006-1/20061619125650775.jpg" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" /> 冠背龜Crowned River turtle 學名Hardella thurjii 原產地印度,巴基斯坦.孟加拉,尼泊爾 棲息環境河流沿岸區域. 體長背甲20-50公分. 適溫攝氏25-32度. 　 冠背龜主要分佈於印度和巴基斯坦境內,小部份則擴及孟加拉和尼泊爾.共有兩個亞種,棲息於印度河流域的印度冠背龜(H.t.indi)和棲息於恆河及布拉瑪普德拉河流域的恆河冠背龜(H.t.thurjii).目前冠背龜尚未列入國際保育,不過應該在1-2年內會被列入CITES II的保育.這是CITES 的既定目標.CITES計畫將所有亞洲水棲龜類全數列入CITES I和II的保護. 　 目前市面上仍有小量幼龜出現,主要是來自孟加拉的個體.冠背龜的飼養難度不高,但是因為比較容易受水生菌感染,所以新進幼體死亡率較高.只要個體健康,飼養起來並沒有異於其他水龜的地方.一般來說,冠背龜比較傾向素食性,可以餵食青菜及水龜飼料.成長速度並不快.但是成體的雌龜體型會比雄龜大一半以上,相當懸殊.對溫度的變化比較敏感,冬天保溫對幼體尤其重要. 　 雌雄的辨別可以由尾巴的大小來區分,雄性尾巴較粗較長,雌性尾巴較短.同時雄性背甲比較狹長,雌性則較圓.辨別並不困難.繁殖習性上應該與同分佈區的印度鋸背龜(Kachuga tecta)類似.只是產卵的數量應該會多於鋸背龜.

锯缘的：
学名，Pyxidea mouhotii mouhotii(Gray,1862年) 英文名，Mouhot's keeled box turtle 背甲长，最长２０ＣＭ． 分布地区，中国南部，越南（除了越南中部），缅甸，印度的啊萨亩． 一般都是１８ＣＭ的但有人见过２０ＣＭ的． 地板黄白色较多，有暗斑．从背甲中部到后部会越来越宽．

以前有龟友提到黄额各亚种间的鉴别问题，找到一些英文资料，翻出来大家看看。 

Cuora galbinifrons bourreti与Cuora galbinifrons其它亚种的鉴别

4. The carapace also has a characteristic appearance.
